SMART-Integral Effect Test

Small-reactor-safety1

Objectives

  • Integral Validation for SMART Design & Predictability of Safety Analysis Codes
  • Validation of System Performance and Safety for Various Design Basis Accident (DBA) Scenarios such as SBLOCA, CLOF, FLB, SGTR, etc.
  • Technical Support for Domestic and Overseas Constructions of SMART
  • Both Integral Effect Tests ((ETs) and Separate Effect Tests (SETs) are being performed.
  • IETs with VISTA-ITL (2009~2011) & SMART-ITL (2012~Present)
  • SETs with SISTA (for SMART CPRSS, Containment Pressure and Radioactivity Suppression System), FINCLS (for Natural Circulation Phenomena expected to occur in SMART)
